ANOTHER WEEK PASSES BUT STILL NO HANSARDGATE LETTER

Another week has passed but Barnaby Joyce has still not complied with the Information Commissioner's direction to hand over the Hansardgate letter.

Rather, Minister Joyce is spending taxpayers’ money in an attempt to have the decision over-turned over in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

The letter from sacked Agriculture Secretary Paul Grimes to Barnaby Joyce must be explosive, otherwise the Minister would just hand it over.

Barnaby Joyce’s attempt to change the Hansard account of his drought answer in the House of Representatives was a parliamentary crime in itself.  But the cover up is always worse than the crime.

It’s time to drop the legal action and hand the Dr Grimes letter over.
