Australian students will be able to choose the course and the university that is right for them using the new My University website.

Enrolling at university is a huge life decision for young Australians and their families. My University will help ensure that students have all the relevant information to make an informed decision about what’s best for them.

After opening the doors of our universities to more Australians than ever before, the Government is now empowering students by enabling them to compare the performance of universities at a one-stop-website.

Students will be able to compare universities on a range of indicators including: course details, information about fees, course entry scores, results of student satisfaction surveys, results of graduate destination surveys, student numbers, application offers, student-to-staff ratios, information about access to student services and campus facilities; and employment outcomes.

The detailed information available on My University will enable students to make informed decisions having regard to details around courses, services and other student experiences.

Giving students information about employment prospects is important to ensure we are able to directly link education choices to areas of employment growth.

My University will underpin Australia’s vision to be one of the most highly educated and skilled nations in the world.

The Government has transformed our higher education landscape and the lives of many Australians along with it—boosting the number of enrolments around the country and increasing participation by 27 per cent since 2007. We have invested a record $4.8 billion since 2008 to help universities build the teaching facilities for the 21st century. This investment has resulted in improved teaching, learning and research experiences for staff and students on campuses in every state and territory.

My University will help improve transparency and drive universities to lift performance and quality across a wide range of indicators.
