During Question Time today, the Treasurer conceded the cost benefit analysis on the relocation of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) cost the taxpayer $272,000.
It is no wonder Barnaby Joyce said he didn’t know how much the cost benefit analysis cost when pressed on ABC’s Insiders.
Yesterday Barnaby Joyce also reaffirmed his refusal to release the cost benefit analysis.
Yet today, Scott Morrison said it’s a matter for Cabinet.
It is clear the forced relocation of the APVMA from Canberra to Barnaby Joyce’s electorate is creating a split in the Cabinet.
There is no doubt senior Ministers are shocked by the stupidity of Barnaby Joyce’s pork barrelling exercise.
It is past time the Prime Minister showed some leadership by standing up to Barnaby Joyce and at the very least, forcing him to release the cost benefit analysis.
