Muswellbrook RSL Sub-Branch has been recognised for their commitment to honouring the contribution of the local veteran community Member for Hunter, Joel Fitzgibbon, said today.
The Sub-Branch will receive $2,373 to hold a Memorial Service and commemorate dinner with Vietnam veterans from the Upper Hunter.
This grant was funded under the Australian Government’s Saluting Their Service grants program which aims to honour the sacrifice and service of Australia’s servicemen and women in wars, conflicts and peace operations, and promotes the appreciation and understanding of the role that those who served have played in shaping the nation.
“I congratulate the Muswellbrook Sub-Branch for their hard work in ensuring the contribution of Australian Defence Force members, past and present, is recognised and remembered.”
