IMMEDIATE DECISION ON SCONE OVERPASS NEEDED

Today Joel Fitzgibbon and David Ewings called for the immediate decision on the Scone overpass and a start date for construction.

“It’s been three years since the former Labor Government allocated $45 million to construct the overpass but not a sod of soil has been turned," Fitzgibbon said.

“The Coalition Government is taking the Scone community for granted. The failure to fund the overpass is a slap in the face for Scone residents," Mr Ewings said.

Mr Fitzgibbon has accused the Turnbull and Baird Government of conspiracy to avoid spending any money in Scone.

“The debate about whether we need an overpass is both confected and false. The fact is Scone probably needs both but ongoing discussions about the bypass should not hold up construction of the overpass."

It's time for the Government to reaffirmed its commitment to the Scone overpass.
