JOYCE ADDS TO THE UNCERTAINTY AND SPIN

Barnaby Joyce finally went to Queensland today to talk to farmers about the defence land grab, but despite being Deputy Prime Minister, a member of the National Security Committee of the Cabinet and Agriculture Minister, he pleaded the Sergeant Shultz defence saying that “ I know nothink”.

But he also managed to say that he and the Prime Minister are “personally” opposed to compulsory acquisition of agricultural land.

We can therefore assume that compulsory acquisitions will not be further pursued.

If not, the question becomes “who is running the country?”
