Minister for Agriculture, Barnaby Joyce has again refused to guarantee if he will return $80 million dollars for concessional loans funding.
1. $40 million he took from Labor’s farm concessional loan scheme; and
2. $40 million he won’t spend this financial year because he can’t deliver his own drought concessional loan scheme.
Minister Joyce was provided the opportunity during the Matter of Public Importance to tell the parliament and farming families whether money allocated to concessional loans would be honoured.
Once again, the Minister chose not to provide any reassurance to rural and regional communities with regards to concessional loan funding.
