A verbal war has now broken out between Coalition MPs about what is or isn't in the Coalition Agreement.
Some say the commitment to a marriage equality plebiscite is in the Agreement. Others say it is not. Some argue the commitment is in the "side letter", suggesting it carries less weight!
Obviously unsure what to say, some Liberal MPs proclaim they haven't seen the Coalition Agreement.
Nationals Minister Keith Pitt added to the confusion:
“I haven’t seen it. I can’t comment on what it contains. In fact I can’t comment on if it exists,” he told the Australian.
The issue could be easily resolved. Malcolm Turnbull just needs to stop fighting my FOI application in the courts and release the Coalition Agreement.
