Not only is the Coalition Agreement being kept secret from the Australian people, its contents now appear now a matter of subterfuge.
Last week David Littleproud told ABC RN he “doesn’t know what is in the Coalition Agreement”. But now we learn that Michael McCormack mislead the Nationals Party Room telling MPs an agriculture visa had been included in the Coalition Agreement. That’s the same Michael McCormack who has consistently said the Coalition Agreement is “administrative only”.
The Morrison Government must release the current Coalition Agreement and drop its efforts in the Courts to prevent the release of the previous two Agreements.
Nothing is more fundamental to our democracy than an agreement which allows a political party to form a government. The community is entitled to know what deals have been done.
