NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART MEDICAL CENTRE TO BENEFIT KURRI KURRI RESIDENTS

Residents of Kurri Kurri and the surrounding area will find it easier to see a health professional locally with the official opening of the Kurri Kurri Healthcare Centre today.

The former Labor Government allocated $1.99 million to Kurri Kurri Community Healthcare under the Health and Hospitals Fund.

The funding has provided a brand new purpose built and designed medical facility with state-of-the-art equipment and a comprehensive range of medical and allied health services.

“This is a much needed facility for the Kurri Kurri Township,” Mr Fitzgibbon said.

“I’ve said many times in the Parliament before that there is no greater responsibility for Government than to ensure that its people have access to affordable healthcare,” he said.

The new Centre will alleviate the pressure from the Kurri Kurri Hospital emergency department to enhance overall system efficiency.
