TURNBULL’S SLEIGHT OF HAND TURNS SOUR FOR FISHERIES AND FORESTRY SECTORS

Malcolm Turnbull has pulled the wool over Barnaby Joyce’s eyes by giving him responsibility for water in name only.

But Barnaby and the Nationals are not the only victims of Malcolm Turnbull’s gambit, his sleight of hand has left great uncertainty in the fisheries and forestry sectors which now seem to be without a dedicated Assistant Minister.

Labor welcomes the fact that Barnaby Joyce won’t get his hands on water policy.

But having already been dropped from the portfolio title, the Fisheries and Forestry sectors deserve better than to be pawns in the Prime Minister’s running struggle with his Coalition partners.
