Any cuts to the diesel fuel rebate will be another broken promise by the Abbott Government.
Before the election Mr Abbott said that “the diesel fuel rebate stays under the Coalition” 23 August 2013, in an interview with Pete Davis, Darwin.
This type of disregard and uncertainly for the farming sectors adds to the many pressures our farmers face on a daily basis.
Labor would be concerned about the impact any changes or abolition would have on the farming sector and calls on the Abbott Government to reassure our farmers of their intensions.
