BARNABY JOYCE MUST EXPLAIN WHERE ARE THE ANSWERS TO ESTIMATE QUESTIONS

As we head into what might be the last sitting week for this Parliament,  the Turnbull Government continues to show a total disregard for parliamentary processes and accountability.

Not only will we have a chaotic budget brought down on 3 May, we have the review and scrutiny process of Senate Estimates scheduled for two days later.

Whilst the answers to Questions on Notice for the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources for the last Senate Estimates hearing which were due on 1 April 2016 are now three weeks overdue.

The Deputy Prime Minister must explain why his Department is taking so long to provide answers that were put on notice back in February.  The Opposition, stakeholders and the public have the right to know what the Minister’s Department is up to.

Maybe we shouldn’t be surprised though, as we know the Deputy Prime Minister, Barnaby Joyce, is not a fan of ever providing the full story.
