Another week has passed but still no Agriculture White Paper.
With snow on the mountains here in Canberra, Barnaby Joyce may now be channelling the late Bing Crosby, though instead of dreaming of a White Christmas, he is dreaming of a White Paper.
This week, Mr Joyce told Fairfax Media that he imagines we will see the White Paper in the coming weeks, so perhaps he is under the influence of John Lennon instead.
Either way if, as the Minister says:
The White Paper is basically completed - its sitting on my desk - we are already rolling out sections of the White Paper.
The rest of the White Paper the substantive part of the White Paper that is imminent.
Then the obvious question is - why isnt it being released?
Australian farmers dont want it on your desk Barnaby. They want certainty and direction instead of this chaotic process of broken promises and empty statements.
