Cessnock has experienced a slow but exciting transition over the past two decades and a $950,000 Federal Government grant will allow Cessnock Council to take the next steps.

Council has been successful in securing a $950,000 grant under the National Stronger Regions Fund initiative, which aims to promote economic development in Australia’s Regional areas.

The Cessnock Civic Precinct Revitalisation project will help the Cessnock CBD capture more people visiting Wine Country, it's an exciting time for the town with tens of thousands flocking to our area to attend concerts and experience our fine restaurants and cellar doors.

Since my time on Cessnock Council I've been working towards a better and more attractive CBD.

The Hunter Expressway has been critical to realising that dream with the removal of unwanted heavy vehicle traffic.
