No more excuses from the Turnbull Government on Dairy Code

After an eighteen month inquiry into the dairy industry, the ACCC has recommended a Mandatory Code of Conduct to address the significant bargaining power imbalance between our dairy farmers, processors and retailers

A code Labor has been championing for some time.

Adoption of the ACCC’s recommendation will end the Government’s excuses and policy inertia.

The Agriculture Minister needs to immediately begin the process of developing and implementing a Mandatory Code of Conduct for the dairy industry.

There is widespread community support for our dairy farmers who have suffered the devastating impact of both natural and corporate disasters.

It’s past time our dairy producers secured some support from the Turnbull Government.
