Barnaby Joyce came out from behind the Speaker’s protection tonight and conceded he’d misled Australian farming families.
When the Minister said farmers receive drought relief automatically on making an application he misled farmers and raised false hope.
The chaos of the last few days demonstrates the Government’s drought policy is in tatters.
Drought relief is not reaching struggling farming families. Barnaby Joyce must now fix the problem.
