HUNTER TOWNS ADDED TO NBN PLAN

Federal Member for Hunter, Joel Fitzgibbon, has today welcomed nbn co’s update to their national construction plan that adds 7,200 premises in the Hunter electorate to the rollout of the nbn network.

“I’m very pleased that this rollout will include 6,000 premises in and around Singleton and also 1,200 premises at Rylstone and Kandos’, Mr Fitzgibbon said.

“Unreliable internet connections and the lack of capacity are simply not good enough in this 21st century,” he said.

"In March this year I arranged for local business leaders and council representatives to raise their concerns with Labor’s Shadow Minister for Communications, Jason Clare, about the slowness of the Government's new NBN model

“At this meeting they expressed their need for reliable internet services and said this technology was vital to diversify the economy and retain their “core population,” he said.

I look forward to additional announcements that will ensure all Hunter residents will have access to fast broadband.smallerIMG_1117.jpg
