TONY ABBOTT IS FOCUSED ON HIS OWN JOB RATHER THAN BUILDING RURAL & REGIONAL AUSTRALIA

Next week’s Budget will be about saving Tony Abbott’s job – not about setting a vision to build a sustainable competitive and profitable agriculture sector and the jobs it can support.

Last year’s Budget was a disaster for Australian’s living in rural and regional Australia.

- Failure to support farmers suffering from the drought
- Fuel taxes that hit hardest in rural and regional areas
- Cost of living up
- Health costs up
- Second class broadband
- Cuts to Research and Development
Tony Abbott had promised to make things better for those living in rural and Regional Australia but he has made the divide between city and rural Australia so much worse.

Tony Abbott was elected on broken promises. He must realise that his last unfair Budget is part of problem and was not the solution for rural and regional Australians.

However, Labor fears that this Budget will be about Tony Abbott saving his own job rather than jobs in rural and regional Australia.

Labor believes in a strong economy that delivers for all Australians and doesn’t leave people in rural and regional areas behind.
